Temple Shalom Nursery School (TSNS) is a play-based, nature-rich early childhood program serving children ages 18 months to 5 years. Rooted in Jewish values—community, kindness, respect, curiosity, and justice—we create a warm, inclusive environment where children, families, and educators thrive.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators who are:
  • Creative and open to innovative, play-based learning
  • Curious about child development and emergent curriculum

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Facilitate play-based and outdoor learning experiences
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership
  • Communicate effectively with families
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and joyful classroom
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in early childhood education (ECE) preferred
  • Knowledge of play-based or Reggio-inspired approaches a plus
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Jewish knowledge/experience is a plus, but not required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $24–$29/hour, based on experience
  • Paid school breaks (December, February, April)
  • Paid Jewish holidays
  • Summer schedule: 8-week program + August break
