Temple Ohav Shalom Center for Early Learning is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aftercare Educator to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 3-6 years old during our Aftercare program. The position is from 11:30AM until 4:30PM Monday through Friday and serves both our preschool students and kindergarten students from half-day programs. Five additional hours paid hours will be given weekly towards lesson planning and professional development.

Responsibilities of the Aftercare Educator include:

Supervising and engaging with children in age-appropriate activities, including indoor and outdoor play, games, arts & crafts, and other engaging activities.
Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.
Providing afternoon snacks for students.
Maintaining an organized and clean environment, including activity areas and snack areas.
Communicating effectively with parents, fellow staff members, and administrators to ensure the well-being and development of each child.
Planning and implementing a variety of activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Keeping accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during Aftercare hours.
