About Us:
Seattle Hebrew Academy's Early Childhood Center is a welcoming and inclusive Jewish preschool dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of young children in a supportive and enriching environment. Our program focuses on fostering Judaic learning, curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning among children ages 1 to 5.
Role Overview:
Applicants do not need to be Jewish or have Judaic knowledge. As an Early Childhood Floater, you will play a crucial role in supporting classroom teachers, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for children ages 1 to 5. This position requires adaptability, a love for working with young children, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment. This position follows school calendar and hours (summer break, winter break, federal holidays, Jewish holidays).
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities and routines for children.
Support the emotional, social, and physical well-being of children.
Supervise and engage children in play, learning, and creative projects.
Provide coverage across classrooms as needed, adapting to various age groups and needs.
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff members.
Communicate effectively with teachers and administrators regarding classroom needs and updates.
Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children in early childhood settings preferred.
Passionate about early childhood education and child development.
Ability to work flexibly across classrooms with varying age groups.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain (school may assist).
Must pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
