About Us:
Seattle Hebrew Academy's Early Childhood Center is a welcoming and inclusive Jewish preschool dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of young children in a supportive and enriching environment. Our program focuses on fostering Judaic learning, curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning among children ages 1 to 5.

Role Overview:
Applicants do not need to be Jewish or have Judaic knowledge. As an Early Childhood Floater, you will play a crucial role in supporting classroom teachers, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for children ages 1 to 5. This position requires adaptability, a love for working with young children, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment. This position follows school calendar and hours (summer break, winter break, federal holidays, Jewish holidays).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities and routines for children.

  • Support the emotional, social, and physical well-being of children.

  • Supervise and engage children in play, learning, and creative projects.

  • Provide coverage across classrooms as needed, adapting to various age groups and needs.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff members.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers and administrators regarding classroom needs and updates.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in early childhood settings preferred.

  • Passionate about early childhood education and child development.

  • Ability to work flexibly across classrooms with varying age groups.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain (school may assist).

  • Must pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
