Preschool Teacher

The Kaplan Preschool is seeking an energetic part-time Floater with the potential to turn into a full-time position.

We are a Jewish school open to families of any faith, and we provide a play-based, high quality early childhood education to all children. We offer a full secular and Jewish curriculum.

We have an engaged, welcoming team of educators who collaborate to create a classroom culture defined by respect, warmth and cooperation in which students can learn and develop at their own pace.

Essential Skills and Qualities

• Flexibility and adaptability:
  Willingness to work where needed and adjust to different classroom settings and needs. 
• Collaboration and communication:
  Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with students, parents, and colleagues. 
• Physical stamina:
  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods to care for children. 
• Nurturing and warm:
  Demonstrates a nurturing approach to child development and education. 
• Reliability and motivation:
  A dependable and motivated individual willing to assist teachers and learn new things. 

Requirements

College degree in related field preferred

At least 2 years experience in education

Schedule

• 8:00 to 1:00
• Monday to Friday

Pay

• $25-28/hour
