Cobb Jewish Preschool is seeking a dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our warm, family-oriented community. Position Details
Duration: Now through May 31, 2026, with the option to return in August for a 10-month contract
Work Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Compensation: Starting at $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support: Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and engaging activities.
Daily Routines: Help support children during arrivals, departures, mealtimes, toileting, and naptime.
Learning Experiences: Facilitate play-based learning that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
Classroom Management: Set up and maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment.
Materials Preparation: Prepare and manage supplies for classroom activities and projects.
Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to children requiring extra guidance.
Observation & Documentation: Observe and record children’s behavior, progress, and milestones.
Parent Communication: Update parents on their child’s day, achievements, and any concerns.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the assistant teacher and colleagues to nurture a positive, inclusive classroom community.
Professional Development: Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the preschool program.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; CDA/AA/BA preferred, or willingness to obtain CDA
Previous experience with preschool-aged children
Basic understanding of child development principles
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
Flexibility and adaptability
Ability to pass a background check
Physical stamina for active classroom engagement
A genuine passion for nurturing young minds
