Gan Shalom is seeking a dedicated, flexible, and caring Floater Teacher to join our team of educators serving children ages 18 months–5 years.

This position is ideal for someone who loves variety, values collaboration, and thrives in a supportive community environment. Work options range from 2–5 days per week, with a starting salary of [$18-20 per hour].

What You’ll Do

  • Support lead and assistant teachers in implementing age-appropriate, play-based curriculum
  • Supervise and engage with children to ensure safety, well-being, and developmental growth
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels seen and valued
  • Encourage children’s curiosity, communication, and creativity through hands-on experiences
  • Collaborate with teaching teams to maintain organized, welcoming classroom spaces
  • Step into different classrooms as needed, offering consistency and care across the center
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young children in an early childhood or preschool setting is preferred
  • Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
  • Ability to adapt to different classrooms and teaching styles with ease and professionalism
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a warm, inclusive environment grounded in Jewish values of respect, kindness, and community
