Position OverviewAssistant teachers work closely with lead teachers to help create nurturing, engaging, and organized classroom environments where young children can learn through exploration, play, and connection.
This role is ideal for:

- New to the field educators pursuing CDA or ECE credentials
- Educators with experience in camps, nannying, aftercare, or youth programs

What Success Looks Like in This RoleSuccessful assistant teachers:
- Build warm relationships with children and families
- Support classroom routines calmly and consistently
- Collaborate effectively with lead teachers
- Show initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
- Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn
- Help create emotionally responsive classrooms
Key Responsibilities- Support classroom activities and daily routines
- Assist with supervision, transitions, meals, and outdoor play
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning environments
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Support children’s social-emotional development
- Collaborate with teaching teams and leadership staff
- Maintain health and safety standards
QualificationsWe welcome candidates with a variety of experiences, including:
- Childcare experience
- Camp counseling
- Babysitting or nannying
- Aftercare or youth programming
- Early childhood coursework
- Experience working with young children in any setting

- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
Candidates must either:
- Hold Florida DCF 45-Hour Training Certification OR
- Be willing to complete the DCF 45-hour training within 6 months of hire
