Co-Teacher – Preschool (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Gan Aliyah, a part-day, school-year Jewish preschool at Temple Aliyah in Needham, is seeking a Co-Teacher to join our preschool classroom from early March through early June 2026 to cover a maternity leave. While our roots are in the Jewish community, our school welcomes students, families, and teachers of all backgrounds. What unites us is a shared commitment to high-quality education, nurturing environments, and helping children thrive.This position may have the option to continue into the next school year. We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible educator who is passionate about early childhood education and inspired by learning through play, exploration, and discovery.

Qualifications:
• Minimum three (3) years of early childhood education experience.
• EEC Preschool Teacher Certification required.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Familiarity with emergent, play-based curriculum.
• Knowledge of Judaic curriculum or willingness to learn.
• Experience with differentiated instruction.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
• Support and implement an emergent curriculum integrating Judaic and secular learning, aligned with Massachusetts Department of Education Frameworks and Standards.
• Foster curiosity, creativity, and exploration through engaging classroom experiences.
• Collaborate closely with an established team of early childhood educators.
• Maintain classroom environment, materials, and shared spaces.
• Take children to the playground daily throughout the school year.
• Write a weekly classroom newsletter with embedded photos.
• Maintain student assessment records and individual portfolios.
• Prepare progress reports and participate in parent conferences twice per year.
• Attend staff meetings and school events,
• Engage in ongoing collaboration and professional growth
