Lead and Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Education

We are seeking both Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers to join our early childhood team. In these roles, you will work collaboratively to create a warm, engaging classroom environment while supporting children’s development across all domains. This is an ideal opportunity for educators who value community, consistency, and being part of a mission-driven school focused on early childhood growth and Jewish learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for young children.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum.
  • Lead Teachers: Design curriculum and lead family communication.
  • Assistant Teachers: Support classroom activities and daily routines.
  • Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with teaching team members to support a positive classroom and school culture.
Qualifications:
  • Lead Teachers: Minimum of 6 early childhood education credits required.
  • Assistant Teachers: High school diploma required.
  • All candidates must be at least 19 years old.
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred for Lead Teachers.
  • Previous experience working with young children preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and classroom management.
  • Warm, engaging, and relationship-driven approach.
  • Must meet Illinois DCFS licensing requirements.
