What You'll DoAs our Pre-K Teacher, you'll help children build the academic, social, and emotional foundations that prepare them for kindergarten while preserving the joy of childhood.
You'll:
- Create engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote literacy, math, science, art, and social-emotional development.
- Foster children's independence, problem-solving, creativity, and confidence.
- Observe and document children's learning to guide curriculum planning.
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication.
- Create a warm, organized classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and included.
- Lead the MJP graduating class and support the children and families in this monumental milestone.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create meaningful learning experiences across the school.
- Participate in professional learning and continuously refine your teaching practice.
We're Looking For Someone Who- Has experience teaching preschool or Pre-K children.
- Understands child development and kindergarten readiness.
- Values play as the foundation for meaningful learning.
- Builds strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Creates engaging classroom environments where children are encouraged to explore, collaborate, and think critically.
- Is organized, reflective, and excited to continue growing as an educator.
QualificationsWe welcome educators from a variety of pathways, including:
- Experienced Pre-K or Preschool Teachers
- Certified Early Childhood Educators
- CDA candidates with classroom experience
- Career changers with relevant early childhood education experience
