Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a Nurturing Environment: Foster a warm, supportive, and safe classroom environment where each child feels valued.
- Curriculum Implementation: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities aligned with developmental milestones and Jewish values. Activities should encourage exploration, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
- Jewish Culture Integration: Incorporate Jewish holidays, traditions, and values into the curriculum in meaningful, age-appropriate ways.
- Daily Care: Provide attentive care, including diapering, feeding, and ensuring children’s basic needs are met.
- Developmental Support: Monitor and support children’s developmental progress through observation and documentation. Communicate milestones and concerns with parents.
- Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with families by providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing and school policies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or working toward completion).
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
- Familiarity with Jewish traditions, holidays, and values is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
