The Paul S. and Sylvia Steinberg Preschool at NSS Beth El in Highland Park, IL seeks experienced Pre-K (four year old) teachers to join our wonderful staff for the 2024/2025 school year. The SPS Steinberg Preschool fosters the growth of each child in a nurturing environment that supports all areas of development and encourages emerging independence. As a Jewish, play-based preschool, we believe in flexibility within structure allowing children a great deal of opportunity for exploration and discovery as they seek meaning in the world. We work hand in hand with parents to form partnerships of trust and to set appropriate goals for children. The Steinberg Preschool is comprised of experienced, loving teachers who work collaboratively to promote the best outcomes for our students. Required Qualifications:
• Have previous experience teaching in an early childhood setting.
• Hold a degree (associates, bachelors or masters) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and holidays.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop an engaging environment, explorations and an imaginative curriculum.
• Appreciate being a part of an innovative community, sharing and learning from other professionals.
• Ability to be an active participant in the care and safety of young children, including lifting and attending to their personal care.
