Assistant Toddler Teacher-Fuchs Mizrachi School
Fuchs Mizrachi School in Beachwood Ohio, is looking for a Full-time Assistant Toddler Teacher. Join our team of passionate early childhood Teachers dedicated to fostering warm, caring relationships and building a strong sense of community for young children and their families.
As an assistant teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing environment where toddlers play, explore, learn, and grow. Our philosophy is Reggio inspired and guided by living Torah values in our everyday lives. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide play experiences that support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, as well as their love of Torah and Israel.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the lead teacher in our play-based learning, maintaining our home-like classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues as we work to incorporate best early childhood practices.
- Ensure all children in your care's health, safety and well-being is adhering to licensing requirements and school policies.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, respectful, committed to responsive caregiving with a genuine love for working with toddlers.
- Interested in Early Childhood Education and/or caring for children (Ages 18 months to 4 Years old).
- Emphasizes respectful, mindful and connected relationships.
- Willing to learn about child development principles and best practices in an Early Childhood setting.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to keep record of daily habits in recording sheets.
- Willing to help assist with diaper changes, potty mastering, setting up meal times and rest times.
- Proof of High School Graduation or GED.
- All state licensing requirements and the demonstrated ability to perform all job responsibilities as described in the Teacher job description.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Mandated reporter training certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Current health screening with a negative T.B. test, Doctor signature is required.
The pay ranges from $23,000-$27,000 annually depending on education and experience.
This full-time position is 36.5 hours a week with competitive compensation and benefits. There is also a possibility of adding hours during aftercare and our summer camp option.
