Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic team at Temple Sinai Preschool, dedicated to providing high-quality Jewish education through constructivist learning principles. As a preschool teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for learning, Jewish values, and community engagement among our youngest learners. *Teachers unfamiliar with Jewish culture, practice, and tradition will be provided with ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, hands-on lessons that integrate Jewish values and traditions into the curriculum.
  • Utilize constructivist learning strategies to encourage children to explore, question, and construct their understanding of Jewish culture, holidays, and values.
  • Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates each child's unique background and learning style.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Foster strong partnerships with families through regular communication and involvement in school events and celebrations.
  • Assess children's progress and development through observations and informal assessments, adapting lessons and activities as needed.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Jewish Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in early childhood education.
  • Familiarity with constructivist learning theories and practices.
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and holidays (preferred), ongoing professional development will be provided.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for nurturing young children's curiosity and creativity.
