2s & 3s Teacher
Intown Jewish Preschool is a Jewish Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool, and is currently looking for experienced lead teachers with a passion for education. We are a close-knit school family dedicated to innovative education for young children. Ideally, we are seeking candidates with Reggio experience and a background in early childhood education. Our teachers are enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children. However, even if you lack a Reggio background, joining IJP presents an amazing opportunity if you have a genuine love for working with children and a willingness to learn!
- Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage children in learning, including storytelling, music, art, and hands-on activities
- Collaborate with other teachers and admin for lesson planning, assessments, parent communication and school events.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and respect.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. CDA, college credit in ECE or ECE certificates preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations for preschool programs.
