Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and nurturing After Care Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and attentive, providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children during the late afternoon hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and Engage: Ensure the safety and well-being of children during afternoon care while facilitating meaningful activities.
• Afternoon Activities: Lead age-appropriate activities, such as storytime, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and quiet time.
• Classroom Environment: Maintain a calm, organized, and positive environment conducive to learning and relaxation at the end of the day.
• Health & Safety: Monitor children to ensure a safe environment, including appropriate cleanup and hygiene practices.
• Snack Time: Distribute snacks as needed and promote good eating habits.
• Communication: Collaborate with lead teachers and communicate any pertinent information to families when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting.
• Enthusiastic, compassionate, and dependable with strong classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of Jewish values and traditions is a plus but not required.
• Ability to engage children in fun and age-appropriate activities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
