Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a toddler classroom, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with early learning standards.
- Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom staff, providing guidance and mentorship. - Maintain clear, consistent communication with families through daily updates and conversations.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and accurate records.
Collaborate with school leadership and staff to support a positive and cohesive school culture. - Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement efforts.
- CDA required with a high school diploma, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults.
- Ability to foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass fingerprinting and background check and meet Georgia state licensing requirements.
- Familiarity with Jewish culture and values is a plus.
